Kiwi Gamers, Honest Reviews

Bralexoni was founded in 2018 by a small group of Wellington-based gamers who were tired of review scores that felt bought. We set out to build something different: a publication where every score is earned, every opinion is genuine, and every reviewer has actually finished the game.

Our Mission

To provide New Zealand gamers with the most thorough, unbiased, and locally relevant game reviews available anywhere online.

âš–ī¸

Editorial Independence

We receive no payment from publishers to influence scores. Review copies are accepted but never tied to a minimum score or positive coverage.

🌏

NZ-First Lens

We test on NZ servers, note local release timing, and highlight any content differences specific to the Australian and New Zealand market.

How We Score Games

Our 10-point scale is broken into five equally weighted categories. No single element can carry or sink a score.

đŸ•šī¸
Gameplay
20% of score

Core mechanics, controls, pacing, and how fun the game is to actually play — from minute one to the credits.

📖
Story & Writing
20% of score

Narrative depth, character development, dialogue quality, and how well the story integrates with gameplay.

🎨
Visuals
20% of score

Art direction, technical performance, resolution, frame rate stability, and overall visual presentation.

🔊
Audio
20% of score

Soundtrack quality, sound design, voice acting, and how audio enhances (or detracts from) immersion.

âŗ
Value
20% of score

Content length, replayability, post-launch support, and whether the experience justifies your time investment.
